Why don’t you come over to a Japanese tiny house?

Whether we are sharing a meal, exploring the hidden corners of our neighborhood,
or simply laughing over a cup of tea, our goal is to help you fall in love with the real Japan.

Beyond Tourism, Meet Your Japanese Family

While most foreign visitors to Japan only see the neon lights of Shibuya or the temples of Asakusa,
We invites you behind the shoji doors into a world rarely seen by outsiders, where you can experience firsthand what\'s like to live in a compact home.

Host Family Introduction

We\'d love to make friends with people from all over the world.

HOST FAMILY

Where in Tokyo is this?

We invites you behind the shoji doors into a world rarely seen by outsiders, where you can experience firsthand what’s like to live in a compact home. Our tiny house is located in a historic, somewhat quiet residential neighborhood in Ota-ku Ward, Tokyo. We live in a quiet, traditional residential area, we do not publish our
exact location.

Why We Open Our Doors to You.

Tokyo is a city of endless energy and wonders, yet for many who move here, it can also be one of the loneliest places to live. The 2024 Expat Insider survey revealed a startling truth : 80% of expats in Tokyo find it not easy to make local friends, often describing Japanese society as reserved and hard to penetrate. We believe that iving in Japan should be more than just navigating a city ; it should be about feeling a sense of belonging. This is why we started this YOUR HOME TOKYO.

We’d love to have you as a friend.

We didn’t want you to remain inside the “Expat Bubble.” We wanted to create a bridge—a place where you can step off the busy streets and into the warmth of a real Japanese home. For us, this isn’t just a service ; it is our passion. Meeting people from different cultures and hearing your stories from around the globe is what enriches our lives and brings the world to our doorstep. When you join us, you aren’t a “customer” or a “tourist.” You are a guest in our home and a friend in the aking. Whether we are sharing a meal of premium Wagyu, exploring the hidden corners of our neighborhood, or simply laughing over a cup of tea, our goal is to help you fall in love with the real Japan—the one found in the kindness of neighbors and the comfort of a family table. Our family —including our university-student daughter, our soccer-loving son, and our friendly Toy Poodle — is waiting to welcome you. Let us be your first real home in Tokyo.

Why we do this.

We believe that the world gets smaller and kinder when we share a dining table. We aren’t looking to ‘guide’ you through a tour ; we are looking to welcome you into our family for a day.

Why Referral Only?

We believe the best friendships are built on trust. By limiting our guests to one private group per day through personal referrals, we ensure an atmosphere of absolute privacy, safety, and authentic hospitality. From a private BMW transfer and sushi-rolling workshops to a Home-style Wagyu dinner in our living room, you are not a customer—you are a guest of the family.
